In 1995, I applied for a position at Hagen Consultants with a limited understanding of the company’s operations, but I was drawn to the prospect of assisting individuals with their insurance needs. Early on, I discovered the prevalent challenge of clinics and hospitals billing clients without regard to insurance denials, leaving individuals to navigate complex issues independently—an arduous task for anyone familiar with the intricacies of insurance. Being accepted for the position was a gratifying moment for me.

Starting in sales, I initially harbored apprehensions, but I soon realized that I could effectively convey the value of the services we provided, drawing from my hands-on experience. Progressing to a management role, I honed my skills and deepened my commitment to addressing clients’ insurance challenges.

In 2005, an opportunity arose to acquire the company, and alongside a now-retired colleague, I seized the chance, recognizing that this was my calling. Since then, dedicating 100 percent of my time to the business, I have amassed over 28 years of invaluable insurance expertise. Guiding clients through their intricate insurance needs has become not just a profession but a passion.

Relocating to Portage in 2018 with my husband, Rick, marked a new chapter in our lives. Over the years, we raised three children and are now blessed with in-laws plus six grandchildren, each contributing immeasurably to the richness of our family life. Our familial bonds are at the heart of everything we hold dear, making each member a cherished addition to our lives.

I am so glad every day for this opportunity to assist my clients, and obtain the most positive outcome possible for them. This will continue to be my objective until I retire – which isn’t even on the horizon – because I truly enjoy what I do, and I can’t imagine not helping my clients.
